Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a formal process that assesses and recognises an individual’s existing skills, knowledge and experience — gained through work, training or life experience against defined learning outcomes or qualification standards. Instead of repeating taught coursework, candidates submit evidence which assessors evaluate using competency-based criteria, interviews, practical demonstrations or tests.
